Each mantel is made to order in our Billericay, Essex workshop from genuine solid air-dried oak. The timber is cut to your chosen length, carefully prepared, treated by hand with a premium wax oil and individually checked before dispatch.

Every piece of real oak has its own grain, knots, colour variation and natural character, meaning no two mantels are exactly alike.

Solid Oak Throughout

Our fireplace mantels are made from solid oak, not MDF, veneer or hollow box construction.

The air-dried timber provides the weight, strength and natural character you expect from a genuine oak beam mantel, while the machined surface and eased edges give it a clean finish ready for hand-finishing in our workshop.

The 15cm height gives this version a more substantial, traditional beam look while keeping the depth at 10cm.

Choose Your Finish

Each solid oak mantel is hand-finished with a premium wax oil to enhance the natural grain and character of the timber while helping protect the surface.

Choose from five finishes:

Light Oak
A warm, natural finish that keeps the oak bright and understated.

Rustic Oak
A richer golden-brown tone with a traditional rustic feel.

Medium Oak
A deeper mid-brown finish that brings out the natural grain.

Dark Oak
A deep brown finish for a stronger, more dramatic look.

Ebony
Our darkest finish, creating an almost black-brown appearance while still allowing the oak grain to remain visible.

Because every piece of solid oak has its own natural colour, grain and knots, the final shade may vary slightly from the photographs shown.

Fixtures & Fittings

Fixtures and fittings are not included.

This listing is for the solid oak mantel shelf only.

Brackets, concealed fixings, screws, wall plugs and other installation hardware are not supplied.

You will need to choose a suitable fixing method for your wall type and intended installation. If you are unsure, we recommend using a competent installer who can select appropriate fixings for the wall construction and weight of the mantel.
